We now offer training in basic Final Cut Pro editing and Basic Camerawork (using DV/HDV class cameras) in response to client requests. The courses are tailored to your specific requirements, but we can provide a suggested syllabus.
Our popular FCP course brings producers to a level where they can log and ingest rushes from a DV or HDV camcorder and create sequences of selects - collections of clips for further editing.
The Basic Camerawork course is for people stepping up to a manually controlled camera to record basic interviews and voxpops. It will familiarise you with your camera and how to get the best out of it, and show you how to set up your shoot in a variety of situations with the minimum of fuss and equipment. Sound is such an important part of this, we cover this in some detail. We ll cover basic sequences including cutaways and closeups too.
These are not classroom sessions. Courses are for 1:1 to 1:4 and decidedly hands-on. Usually lasting a day, on your premises, using your kit - though we can supply equipment and recommend packages should you require.
For these courses, we charge a daily rate plus travel, accommodation and subsidence where applicable.
