What we're looking at:
- The first sequence shows the ultimate case of badly interpreted PSF footage and how it should look
- Secondly, we look at how it affects aliasing in a scene with bright off-horizontals
- Thirdly, a standard talking head. Look closely at the amount of detail in the skin, and how the FS100 smooths it off.
- Another talking head - look at the lack of skin detail in my forehead, but also notice highlight handling.
- Also in this video, note well the change in angle of view thanks to the C100's slightly larger sensor - this can cause vignetting if yo uuse APS-C lenses but there is a menu setting to crop in the sensor by about 7-10%.
- For fun, a comparison of zone plates from the Sony NEX FS100 and the Canon C100 - which wins on both resolution and detail.
- Finally, a high contrast scene - easily captured by C-log. The other two are struggling, and notice the lack of detail in the FS100's rendition of the umbrella's edge. Stitching present in the C100 shot is noticeably absent.
